Theology Update for the Week of July 12

Dear friends in Christ,

On Sunday, I will start a new class: the 39 Articles. The “Articles of Religion,” which date from the late 16th century, have been printed within the Book of Common Prayer, but are seldom studied today. This first week, we’ll consider questions of background, of how they are different than a creed, and so forth – but we’ll also move into Article I, a robust and subtle declaration of who God is. The class will meet on Sunday in Andrew Hall, on the 3rd floor, at 10 o’clock. And the class will be repeated the next day, Monday, at 12:40pm on the 2nd floor. Visitors are welcome at any time. Each class lasts about 40 minutes.

Then on Monday, July 13, from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. in Andrew Hall, “Hamlet” will be discussed.
If you read the text, you’re welcome to the conversation: in Andrew Hall from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m.

Peace, Father Austin
