Next Saturday, June 18, our Acting Director of Music, Benjamin Sheen, will perform one of J. S. Bach’s masterpieces for organ, the complete ClavierÜbung III, on the expanded Taylor & Boody gallery organ. It is one of the most extensive and complex of his organ works that displays every aspect of his compositional mastery for the instrument. This performance will be given in memory of John Gavin Scott on what would have been his 60th birthday. This also marks the end of the 2015-2016 Concert Series but details of the ongoing Complete Organ Works of Bach series will be announced in September. Please note that this concert begins at 4pm. A free-will offering will be taken towards the Miller-Scott Organ Fund.
