Summer Worship

On the calendar, summer began June 20, at the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. But at Saint Thomas, summer essentially began the day after the choristers of Saint Thomas Choir School go home for the summer. In 2016, Leaving Sunday was on June 12. That was the last opportunity to hear the full Saint Thomas Choir of Men and Boys before September.

From June 19 through the end of August, worship at 11am on Sundays is sung by a series of visiting choirs interspersed with appearances by the Gentlemen of the Saint Thomas Choir. In addition, the annual Saint Thomas Girl Choristers’ Course occurs this year in early August. As such, there are two special summer weekday Choral Evensongs on August 2 and August 4 at 5:30pm.
