Theology Update for Holy Week & Easter Week

Dear friends in Christ

During Holy Week, there will be only one class: a short (under 30 min) class at 10am on Sunday on the 5th floor, on the Eucharistic part of the Easter Vigil. We will finish by 10:30 so that people have plenty of time to get seats for the 11am Palm Sunday liturgy. Everyone is welcome, and we will also have coffee and tea in the room.

There are no other classes in Holy Week, but—and this is news—there will be one class during Easter Week. On Wednesday, April 23, at 6:30 p.m. in Andrew Hall, the “Ethical Wednesdays” series will discuss chapter 4 of Oliver O’Donovan’s Self, World, and Time. We just had a class last night (April 9) that had many insights, and the class was eager not to go three weeks before having another session. So, this one has been added to the calendar. Unlike our usual classes, we won’t have coffee or tea, but you should feel free to bring your own (and any extra Easter chocolates? Sharing is always good). In short, please note this extra class, and if it interests you, you are welcome.

Looking further ahead: the next book seminar in the series Christians Reading Greeks will be on Plato’s Phaedrus, on Monday, May 5, at 6:30 p.m. The time is slightly later than usual because there will be (a special) choral evensong that evening at 5:30 p.m.

Peace to all of you as we enter the great week.
