St. Mark’s Gospel onstage
posted on Friday, November 9, 2018
On Wednesday, November 14, at 7 p.m., in the nave of the church, Tom Bair performs the full text of the Gospel of Saint Mark. The compelling immediacy and directness of Mark’s narrative is brought to life by hearing the gospel in one sitting, in the same manner as the earliest followers of Jesus. The Episcopal Journal calls this performance “a riveting journey” and “a brilliant and inspirational experience.” Then, on Thursday, November 15, at 10 a.m., in Andrew Hall, Mr. Bair leads a seminar exploring the overall effect of the gospel by examining its narrative structure and literary forms.
