Solemn Eucharist: Easter Day
Sunday, April 4, 2010
11:00am - Saint Thomas Church
Collect:
Almighty God, who through thine only-begotten Son Jesus Christ hast overcome death and opened unto us the gate of everlasting life: Grant that we, who celebrate with joy the day of the Lord’s resurrection, may be raised from the death of sin by thy life-giving Spirit; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the same Spirit ever, one God, world without end. Amen.

About Easter Seating: We would be delighted if you decide to worship with us on Easter Morning. Yet, at the 11am Solemn Eucharist, we are usually burst to overflowing, and some who would like to worship with us find no seats. Our church hold 1,850 people, but sometimes well over 2,000 show up at 11am.
So, we kindly suggest that you consider following the example of the women who arrived at the break of dawn at the empty tomb. Early is good.
If you want to attend the 11am Liturgy, we'd suggest arriving by 10am to secure a good seat. Better yet, consider coming instead to the 8am Solemn Eucharist. It is the exact same worship service, but without the lines. Another alternative, if you prefer to worship more passively, is Solemn Evensong at 3pm.
In the end, whether you join us at the crowded 11am Eucharist, or at some other other point during the day, we hope you join us in praise of our risen Lord on Easter Day, or at some other time very soon.
We wish you a most joyous and happy Easter.
