For this class, a true seminar, participants all read the book in advance and do not expect to sit through a summary. Rather, Fr Austin poses an opening question: a question to get the dialogue going; a real question for which he doesn't have an answer. And off we go.
Newcomers are always welcome provided they have read the book in advance.

Last spring, when the reading group culminated its study the trinitarian section of Jenson’s Systematic Theology, someone asked Dr Jenson what book he would next recommend. He said that, in fact, this little book (Conversations . . . ) contains much of his theology, but put into the accessible form of a natural dialogue with a bright young person. Such it is. Unfortunately out of print in English, you can find used copies in many of the usual places; the Saint Thomas Bookstore, fortunately, still has a stock of new copies.
