Note: Listen to a webcast of this lecture via the links at the bottom of the screen.

All are invited to our Fall Theology Lecture, on Wednesday, September 21 at 6:30pm. It will be an honor and pleasure to welcome Fordham theology professor Joseph Lienhard, S.J. His lecture is:

A Church without a Bible?
The Emergence of the New Testament.

If you have wondered how the New Testament arose in those early Christian centuries, or how the church got along without a New Testament, Father Lienhard is your man. He will speak at 6:30 p.m. in the church, following the Festal Eucharist for Saint Matthew. A light reception will follow at 7:30, at which time he will also sign books. If you don’t yet have a copy of his short, clear The Bible, the Church, and Authority, you will be able to purchase a copy at the reception.

The lecture is free and open to the public.
