Glory Be To Thee O Lord: Songs of Faith, Hope and Love

This Thursday, May 11 at 7:30 p.m., Concerts at Saint Thomas closes the 2016/2017 season with Glory Be To Thee O Lord: Songs of Faith, Hope and Love. Hear a rare performance of legendary jazz icon and beloved Saint Thomas parishioner, George Shearing’s, Songs and Sonnets from Shakespeare. Also included are Aaron Copland’s famous setting of the opening words of the Book of Genesis: In the Beginning, Eric Whitacre’s i thank You God for most this amazing day and Carl Rütti’s setting of the very last verse of the Bible: ‘The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.’ Daniel Hyde conducts the Saint Thomas Choir of Men and Boys and pianist Ted Rosenthal.
