AINT THOMAS TOUR

10 - Our Lady of Fifth Avenue

The statue is a 4-foot renderning in bronze of the Blessed Mother with the child Jesus on her lap. The artist, Mother Concordia Scott, O.S.B., of the Benedictine Order at Minster Abbey, Kent, England, crafted the statue as a gift from the parish to celebrate The Reverend John Andrew’s 15th anniversary as Rector in 1987. The statue was dedicated on January 17, 1991 in the presence of The Bishop of New York; John Cardinal O’Connor; Archbishop Peter, Bishop of the Orthodox Church of America; and Fr. Arten Ashjian, representing the Armenian Church of North America.

The Our Lady of Fifth Avenue Ward of the Society of Mary meets monthly. For information contact Michael H. Charles, Secretary, or visit their website: www.societyofmary.com.
