Sunday School

Sunday Morning

Our Sunday School welcomes all children age 3 through high school. We meet each Sunday morning at 10 a.m. during the academic year from mid-September through May. We begin each Sunday with a simple service with the youth minister, our teachers and the students, and classes follow. We also have many special events during the year check our calendar for event times and locations.

Baptism is the only requirement in the Episcopal Church for receiving communion. As we become a part of the Body of Christ, we are invited to take part in the sacraments. Because young children are baptized, we have communion instruction classes four times a year.

"Taste and See," explains Holy Communion to the children using familiar concepts. We will play a few games, talk together, and learn the "how-to's" about receiving communion. An announcement will be made in the Sunday leaflet before each session, and they will be listed on the calendar as well.

Confirmation Classes

Saint Thomas teaches youth confirmation classes from the 6th - 8th grades. Confirmation classes are a part of the Junior High Sunday Youth Group classes. For several Sundays each year, we will teach confirmation material for any student who wished to be confirmed. Confirmation class will take place during the regular Sunday School hour. We will teach the class on a three year cycle so that each student hears the same lesson only once during their time as a member of the Junior Youth Group.
