Dear friends in Christ,
The class on the Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion will start with Article 34 on Sunday, as we continue that section of the articles that deals with authority of the church in matters of ceremonial, preaching, and ordination. The Sunday class is at 10 o’clock on the 5th floor; we have coffee & tea in the room.
I will repeat the Sunday class on Monday at 12:40pm on the 2nd floor. We have coffee & tea then also. The Monday class runs to 1:20pm.
Looking to 2016: I have selected the books for our first two Good Books & Good Talk seminars. On January 25, we’ll discuss Muriel Spark’s The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie. Then on February 22 we’ll take up The Unnamed by Joshua Ferris. Both are very interesting novels, the first about 50 years old, the second only about five. The seminars will be on Mondays, from 6:15 to 7:45pm. We do expect participants in the seminars to have read the book of the evening. I hope you enjoy them.
