Sean McFate, Choir School Graduate ’84 and Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council and Associate Professor at the National Defense University, will speak at Saint Thomas Church on Wednesday, January 20, about his years as a mercenary in Africa. His recently published book, The Modern Mercenary, describes the role of mercenary services in modern warfare. This should be a fascinating and candid picture of a part of today’s world that most of us do not know.
