The dedication of The Irene D. and William R. Miller Chancel Organ in memory of John Scott began with a recital on October 5. Daniel Hyde demonstrated the many colors and sounds of the new instrument, from the softest strings to the iconic “blazing Saint Thomas sound” known to many familiar with the previous instrument.
On Sunday October 7 the Miller-Scott Organ was dedicated, liturgically, at the 11am Solemn Eucharist. Then, at 4pm, there was a Solemn Evensong with Te Deum, followed by a 5:15pm organ recital on the new organ given by our Associate Organist Benjamin Sheen.
