Theology Update for the Week of February 24

Theology Class, “Bertram Goodhue: the Sacred Architect”

On Sunday, February 24, at 10 am we will welcome our guest presenter, David Garrard Lowe, lecturer, author, and director of the Beaux Arts Alliance. Mr. Lowe will draw on his research of the life and works of Bertram Grosvenor Goodhue (1869-1924), the designer of Saint Thomas Church and many other sacred buildings. He will illuminate the devotion, artistry, and genius of this craftsman who shepherded our church building from dream to reality. Coffee and tea are provided.

Also, we will conclude our Theology Evening Lecture Series. On Wednesday, February 27 at 6:30-8pm in Andrew Hall, Professor Jeremy Waldron will teach the final installment of his series on “Biblical Justice,” focusing on the concepts of judgment, justice, and social justice in the writings of the Hebrew prophets, bringing his wisdom as legal philosopher to bear upon our prophetic heritage.

Everyone is welcome.
