Tomorrow morning (Sunday, 12/22) at 10:00 am, I will be teaching the final class of our five-part series on Richard Hooker’s Of the Laws of Ecclesiastical Polity.
We will focus on Book V of The Laws, which is Hooker’s defense of the prayer book liturgical tradition, and we will also discuss briefly his treatment of lay elders (Book VI), the episcopacy (Book VII), and royal supremacy (Book VIII).
We will also review The Laws as a whole and assess Hooker’s legacy. We will meet on the fifth floor of the parish house, and coffee and tea will be provided. I hope you will join us!
