Broadcast of a Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols

The Choir sings from the narthex at the start of a Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols

The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, a service that for many marks the beginning of Christmas, consists of lessons from scripture interspersed with carols reflecting on the themes of the readings. The lessons, which cover the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus, are read by representatives of our parish.

You can watch a video broadcast of this service at 4pm on Christmas Eve. Music included include works of Prendergast, Litaize, Robinson, Scott, Preston, Hawkins, Adams, Hancock, M. Martin, Filsell and Baker.
