Video Webcast (On-Demand) Choral Eucharist, The Third Sunday in Lent Sunday, March 15, 2020

As recently announced, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue has suspended regular, in-person services, for the time being. In the face of this crisis, our parish remains committed to worshiping and connecting with you in new ways.

A special on-demand video webcast of the 11am Choral Eucharist for the Third Sunday in Lent (March 15) is now available on our website.

The Mass for the Third Sunday in Lent was a private service of Choral Eucharist held this Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 11am at the High Altar. Bishop Andrew St John was our Celebrant and Preacher, and Fr. Turner gave special greetings and announcements, serving as Deacon of the Mass. This service was set to Messe a tre voci, by Antonio Lotti.

Access a copy of the service leaflet so you may follow along.

We encourage you to join us for worship online, today and in the days ahead.

More worship services and events at Saint Thomas Church will be made available online in the days to come. Please stay tuned for further updates.

A Message on Sunday’s service from the Rector.

Rector Turner
The Reverend Canon Carl Turner

Welcome to Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. My name is Carl Turner. I am the Rector of this beautiful church, home of the Saint Thomas Church Choir of Men and Boys. For one hundred years, our choir school has been forming children in this wonderful Anglican tradition. Sadly, they are not with us today because of the worldwide Coronavirus pandemic. The school is temporarily closed. Our doors are closed to the public, but we are still worshiping and praying for you day by day.

In our Gospel story today, Jesus meets a Samaritan woman at a well, and he is thirsty. She ministers to Him, and He, in turn, offers to her living water gushing up from within. We pray that, our worship today, even though you are not with us in person, will also refresh you. May the love of the Lord Jesus surround you and your loved ones.
