2021 Holy Week and Easter Services

From March 28 through April we entered into the mysteries of the most significant eight days of the Christian year: Holy Week and Easter Day. You can watch on-demand webcasts of Solemn Liturgies below.

Sermons were preached by the Rev. Dr. Katherine Grieb, Meade Professor in Biblical Interpretation, Virginia Theological Seminary. The Seven Last Words from the Cross were preached by the Most Rev. John O’Hara.

The theme of Dr. Grieb’s sermon series was taken from the text of a hymn by Charles Evans: “Made like him, like him we rise, ours the cross, the grave, the skies”.

The theme for Bishop O’Hara’s Good Friday Meditations was “Don’t be afraid of anything. Christ is Victor!” (Fr. Benedict Groeschel CFR).
