Theology Update for the Week of June 6, 2021

Theology Class: The Practice of Prayer

Dear Friends in Christ,

This Sunday, June 6th, at 10 am ET, Fr. Mark Brown will conclude his monthly theology class series on “The Practice of Prayer.”

The topic for Sunday’s class will be “Spiritual Practice: Rule of Life, Retreat, Resources.” Arranging our priorities to include times of prayer can be very challenging, especially in today’s world.

Many Christians have found composing a simple, flexible “Rule of Life” a good way of finding balance and living in a fuller, more meaningful way. Times of retreat and other resources for the spiritual life will also be discussed.

Please note that Fr. Brown invites you to submit in advance any questions that you might have about the practice of prayer. He can be reached by email.

All are welcome.  If you are a first-timer, please RSVP. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday morning!

New Theology Class on The Lord’s Prayer

On Sunday, June 13th, at 10 am ET, we will begin a new online theology class series on the Lord’s Prayer.

Over the course of five weeks, we will look at the biblical and liturgical texts of the “Our Father” prayer and examine its meaning for us today.

All are welcome. If you are a first-timer, please RSVP. If you would like more information about this class, please email Fr. Cheng.

Blessings,

Fr. Cheng
