Alex Longnecker, tenor, is a versatile singer who finds himself comfortable in genres including ensemble singing, opera, and commercial music. In addition to concerts with the Saint Thomas Choir of Men and Boys, Alex’s 2021-22 season includes performances with the Oregon Bach Festival Chorus, and two appearances with American Baroque Opera Company in Dallas, Texas in Handel’s Acis and Galatea (Acis) and in Mozart’s Apollo et Hyacinthus (Oebalus). Recent solo stage appearances include performances at Lincoln Center with Yale Schola Cantorum and Juilliard 415, Opera in the Rock, Pittsburgh Festival Opera, and the Tanglewood Music Center.
