This Sunday, The New Consort, a vocal ensemble directed by Gentleman of the Choir Brian Mummert, presents Sounding Memory: Music as an Act of Remembrance in the Renaissance.
This program of Franco-Flemish polyphony considers the influence of notable patron Queen Anne of Brittany in the artistic lives of Josquin and other important composers of the era, and explores the memorials-in-sound these artists created for Anne, and for each other.
This series is free and open to the public. Starting at approximately 5:15pm, it follows the 4pm service on most Sundays during the academic term.
