Sharp Faith (Week 2): How do we know God? The role of FAITH – Sunday Theology Talks

[sdg-pt] post_id: 315658

Dear Friends,

“Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope [the faith] that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” (1 Pt 3:15)

The First Letter of Peter asks this, not just to theologians, but to all Christians. Faith is not blind. There are reasons why we believe in God, and theology helps us to make these reasons more explicit, test them, find new and deeper ones.

In our next Sunday Theology Talk, we shall explore the topic of FAITH:

  • What is faith?
  • How does faith allow us to know God?
  • Does faith count as a way to know God?

I look forward to seeing you at the Parish House at 10am on Sunday, April 23rd.

If you are unable to come in person, you can watch the livestream here.

Finally, you might be interested in the meditations I gave for the Three Hours’ Devotion on Good Friday. The videos and the text can be found here.

All blessings,

Fr. Luigi Gioia
