Choir School News for the Week of November 16, 2025

Bursting with Song Saturday, November 8

It was a joy to see the choir stalls bursting with song during Evensong last Saturday, as ten boys from New York, New Jersey and New Hampshire joined the Choir of Men and Boys for a memorable Chorister for a Day experience.

Our guest choristers not only enjoyed immersing themselves in the rich traditions of our music and liturgy, but also loved opportunities to explore the school, see the dorms, play in the gym, and enjoy mealtimes together with our choristers.

Thank you to all who encouraged our guests and their families to take part in this special experience. Highlights of the day included an impressive lunchtime recital and an engaging Q&A session with Alum Dominic Scarozza, Class of 2025, who warmly shared insights from his time as a chorister here at Saint Thomas Choir School.

In his reflections on the day, Mr. Tanner shared,

I was delighted by the success of the day. Not only was it wonderful to welcome so many boys to sing Evensong with our Choir of Men and Boys, but I was so impressed by the way in which they quickly picked up all the music and performed it so well. It was so good to see our choir stalls overflowing with boy choristers and I very much hope that we shall soon be welcoming many of them back to join our fabulous community at Saint Thomas Choir School.

Thank you to our STCS choristers for their gracious hospitality and welcome shown to visiting boys and their families. Many of whom plan to return in the coming term.

My sincere thanks also go to Mr. Tanner, Ms. White, Director of Admissions and Administration, and all the Choir School faculty and staff whose efforts made the day such a great and memorable success.
