GOD’S GREATEST GIFT: Communion classes for children age 7+
and an introductory session for parents followed by three more sessions,

It has long been our practice in the Episcopal Church to welcome all baptized Christians to receive Holy Communion. Previously, the instructions and preparations that children need to better understand and receive this sacrament were handled on an individual or family basis. These new classes are designed for young children preparing to receive Holy Communion for the very first time. They are also for any child who is already receiving the sacrament, but would benefit from a deeper reflection on the Mass and its meaning in our lives as Christians.
This is a particularly suitable interactive and creative program for children enrolled in Sunday School who are able to read proficiently and who wish to grow in their faith within our Eucharistic community.
Children participating in this class will be welcomed to received Holy Communion as a class and with their family at our 11am Mass on the Feast of Candlemas on SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 3 at 11am.

Confirmation classes are particularly suitable for young people who wish to engage with questions of faith in a creative and engaging way, as well as or those who are growing in their faith and wish to affirm their commitment to following Jesus.
We will use Faith Confirmed as a springboard for our discussion and explorations of what it is to be a Christian.
