Dr. Robert Duvall returns with Mortality, yearning, and faith: new poems by Christian Wiman. In his just-published book, Once in the West, Wiman pursues, through images and metaphors, his on-going quest for faith and understanding in the face of loss and doubt. The class will read and discuss some of these poems of “the mind finding what will suffice.”
