The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Almighty ever-living God, who assumed the Immaculate Virgin Mary, the Mother of your Son, body and soul into heavenly glory, grant we pray, that, always attentive to the things that are above, we may merit to be sharers of her glory. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

5:30 p.m.

Above: A sculpture in wood of Mother and Child near the altar of the Chantry Chapel. The scultpure is Spanish in origin, carved in the fourteenth century and polychromed in the sixteenth century.

In addition to services in the Chantry Chapel today, we celebrated the Feast of Saint Mary the Virgin on Sunday, August 12. You can listen to a webcast of the 11am service from August 12 here.
