Festal Eucharist

The Fourth Sunday After Pentecost
11:00 a.m.

Above: John the Baptist in the reredos of Saint Thomas Church. He is represented with attributes that make it clear it is him: he wears a camel-skin robe and holds a lamb on top of a book. Traditionally in art, John the Baptist is shown holding a scroll or book that says Ecce Agnus Dei (Behold, the Lamb of God), because John points to and prepares us for the coming of Christ.

Included in this Festal Eucharist are hymns sung by the congregation and choir, additional music sung exclusively by the choir, lessons, prayers, a sermon, and a Rite I Mass. All baptized Christians are welcome to receive Holy Communion. Details of the service may be seen in the leaflet, which is posted at the bottom of this page, where you will also find links to the webcast during and after the service. ‚ñ∫We welcome this morning The Choir of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Tampa, Florida, Mr. Simon Morley, Director, Mr. Kevin Page, Assistant Organist.

‚ñ∫The Rector speaks about John the Baptist in his weekly audio message.
