Saint James of Jerusalem

Saint James of Jerusalem

Grant, we beseech thee, O God, that after the example of thy servant James the Just, brother of our Lord, thy Church may give itself continually to prayer and to the reconciliation of all who are at variance and enmity; through the same our Lord Jesus Christ, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

In this three-session class on Oct 23, Oct 30, and Nov 6, the first two sessions will be based on sections of “God in the Gallery” by Daniel Seidell (available in the bookstore). On the 3rd class (Nov 6), Fr Austin looks at John Paul’s famous address to artists.

Seidell Readings
For October 23: pp 30-69
For October 30: pp 109-151

The timing of this class corresponds to two public conversations on art and theology with young adult parishioners of Saint Thomas. Some of these new young adult members, who love our music, our liturgy, our preaching, make their living as rock musicians, others in contemporary visual arts. Fr Austin will have public conversations with these individuals on Oct 16 and Nov 1 at 6:30pm in Andrew Hall.
