“Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope [the faith] that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” (1 Pt 3:15)
The First Letter of Peter asks this not just to theologians, but to all Christians. Faith is not blind. There are reasons why we believe in God, and theology helps us to make these reasons more explicit, test them, find new and deeper ones.
