Saint Barnabas

Saint Barnabas

Grant, O God, that we may follow the example of thy faithful servant Barnabas, who, seeking not his own renown but the well-being of thy Church, gave generously of his life and substance for the relief of the poor and the spread of the Gospel; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

The graduating class of Saint Thomas Choir School requests the honor of your presence at the 92nd Commencement Exercises. The ceremonies will be held in the church, with reception to follow in Andrew Hall.

We congratulate William James Paris, Alexander David Simcox and Ryoan Yamamoto and thank them for their fine work over these many years as students, as choristers, and even as acolytes.

The graduates will be present for “Leaving Sunday” which this year coincides with Whitsunday at the 11am Solemn Eucharist on June 12. The Very Rev’d John Hall, Dean of Westminster, England, who gives the commencement address on Saturday, is also the preacher at 11am on Sunday.

The Rector remarks on the departure of the Class of 2011 in his weekly audio message, which you may listen to here.

Please note: the Saturday Eucharist, normally at 12:10pm, is this week at 9am instead, due to the ceremonies. This 30-minute Eucharist meets in the Chantry Chapel, and on this day is for the Feast of Saint Barnabas.
