The Blessing of the Crèche & Christmas Pageant

Tuesday, December 17, 2019
5:30 p.m. - 6:15 p.m. | Baptismal Font

This service is specifically designed for children and young families. The choristers will sing carols, accompanied by harp, and the readings and prayers will be read by members of our Sunday School using a children’s’ version of the Christmas story. During the service, the figures that make up the Christmas Creche will be brought forward and put in their various places. The Rector will tell the children a traditional story and all children will receive a small gift. There will be a special order of service that the children can take home. Children are welcome to come to this service dressed as one of the characters in the Christmas story – Mary, Joseph, angels, shepherds, Magi (three wise men or kings), ‘Star’, inn-keeper, or one of the animals traditionally associated with the Christmas creche – ox, ass, lamb, donkey.
