What is Touchpoint?

Touchpoint is a Church Management System (ChMS) used by hundreds of churches around the country specializing in managing databases, processing and tracking online giving, and all forms of digital communication, from text messages to custom apps for smart phones and tablets. Saint Thomas is implementing Touchpoint in multiple phases over multiple years. Phase 1 of Touchpoint focuses on our database and online giving.

FAQ

Why Touchpoint? Why now?

The Strategic Plan compels Saint Thomas to enhance staff capacity and direct resources to our strategic goals. By modernizing our ChMS, we will be able to allocate valuable resources to our Strategic Plan goals in the areas of Congregational Development, Finances and Infrastructure.

Can I still pledge to both the Church and School?

Yes. You have to enter each one individually. Pledge to the Choir School or the Church and then select ‘Add Gift’ for the additional pledge.

I usually divide my payment quarterly or monthly. Do I have to figure out what that amount is?

Yes. If you start with the total sum of your pledge, you will have to compute the amount based on the frequency of payment.

For example: for quarterly, you would have to divide the sum by 4. For monthly, by 12. You then enter that amount as the recurring gift. If you need help with this, please email [email protected] and we will be happy to assist you.

What other advantages does TouchPoint offer?

Touchpoint is specifically designed for church management. As the rollout continues, you will be able to engage with the Church in a variety of ways – from volunteer work to e-communications. Touchpoint will be the hub for engagement in church life. Someday soon, the Saint Thomas App will be coming to an AppStore near you!

What if I don’t want to pledge and would rather just make a donation?

You can select ‘make a one-time gift’ and proceed from there. While pledging allows the church and school to plan for the program year, all donations help to serve our mission. We are grateful for any support you might offer.

Why is there an option to “cover the fees”?

Credit card companies charge a percentage fee to process the transaction. If you opt to cover the fees, it means that 100% of your donation will go to your intended designation.
