Each year at Easter, Saint Thomas prepares Easter baskets for children staying with their mothers at a Safe Horizon’s Shelter for survivors of domestic abuse, for children attending Saint Ann’s Episcopal church in the Bronx, as well as for migrant children attending the feeding program that is part of our Ecumenical Outreach Partnership with Saint Patrick’s Cathedral and Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church.
Won’t you help us provide a little Easter joy to our young siblings in Christ?
Here’s how you can help: please drop off wrapped chocolate bunnies, foil covered eggs, and small toys appropriate for Easter baskets at the Parish House by March 3rd.
Additionally, it would really brighten the celebrations of some of these children to wear something special to church at Easter. If you would like to provide an Easter outfit for a boy or girl who needs one, please contact Linda Morfi and she will tell you what sizes are needed. Thank you so much!
