The Saint Thomas Girl Chorister Course

Since 2005, Saint Thomas Choir School has hosted a nine-day choral experience for middle and high school girls entering grades 6-12 with excellent musical and social skills. Girls prepare three treble Evensongs during the week (sung on Tuesday through Thursday afternoons) and sing Choral Eucharist with the gentlemen of the Saint Thomas Choir on the final Sunday of the Course. Services at Saint Thomas Church are webcast and viewed by thousands of people around the world every week.

Throughout the course, girls and staff live in the Choir School and have an experience similar to what the boys are accustomed to throughout the school year. In addition to rehearsals and services, girls attend music theory and music history classes, work with our Vocal Coach, attend a theatrical production, and experience the city as much as possible. Previous outings have included visits to the Natural History Museum and MoMa, strolling the High Line, taking the tram to Roosevelt Island, exploring Central Park and taking a boat ride on the Hudson River.
