At last, the weather has warmed up! I have never known such a cold and wet May in New York; thank goodness we have two pop-up gazebos for our guests to shelter under at Neighbor to Neighbor on Saturdays.

Congratulations to Mother Alison Turner who has completed her doctoral studies at the General Theological Seminary after five years of hard work, which she self-funded.

What a wonderful event! Last Saturday the choristers, faculty, and parents joined parishioners, friends, and Order of St. John to support the Order of St. John on their National Day of Volunteering.

It has been a powerful Holy Week! The Vestry, Clergy, and Staff have been delighted that so many people have responded to the encouragement to enter into Holy Week.

Holy Week is here! What services should I attend? The Solemn Liturgies with the choir are all at 5:30pm from Monday until Saturday so it is easy to remember.

We are entering into Passiontide and the liturgical texts and hymns of the season will become more somber as we prepare for Holy Week and the celebration of the Lord’s Passion, Death, and Resurrection.

Some years ago, I visited a Benedictine Monastery in England. The Abbot welcomed me warmly and then we went to the refectory for lunch.
