The New Year brings with it hope and confidence.

All over the world, this Christmas is being celebrated quite differently. Many countries are in lockdown, so many of us cannot be with our families, and many of us have lost loved ones or have friends who have lost someone dear to them. This Christmas makes us all think even more about family and friendship.

Thank you to our children and families who have, yet again, stepped up to deliver parcels to our shut-ins and frail parishioners. The Sunday School created lovely homemade Christmas cards which have been hand-delivered with some Christmas goodies and plants.

I am delighted that it is possible for some of our local choristers to sing at two of our Christmas services this year.

Advent has begun!

Like many ‘ex-pats’ I have fallen in love with Thanksgiving Day.

Two weeks ago, Jonathan Sacks, the former Chief Rabbi in the United Kingdom died.  He was hugely popular and regularly spoke on BBC Radio 4, his gentle voice giving comfort particularly at times of national crisis.

This Sunday is All Saints’ Day and we will have our first livestream broadcast from the Church at 11am and 3pm. 

Welcome back gentlemen! Yes, this Sunday, at our pre-recorded service available from 8am, we will have the first ensemble of the gentlemen of the choir since we closed the church in March because of the pandemic. 

What a delight it was to receive the first of our ‘Dispatches from Incarnation Center’ that allowed us all to have a flavor of the Choir School as it gathers during these extraordinary times.
