The Presentation of our Lord Jesus Christ (Candlemas)

Almighty and everliving God, we humbly beseech thee that, as thy only-begotten Son was this day presented in the temple, so we may be presented unto thee with pure and clean hearts by the same thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord; who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. The Chantry Chapel Reredos at Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue

Daily Shrine Prayers and Mass will be available via audio livestream.

On Mondays through Saturdays at 12pm we offer prayers and intercessions at the shrine of Our Lady of Fifth Avenue. These prayers precede the Eucharist and include the traditional recitation of the Angelus, prayers from the diocesan and Anglican cycle, and intercessions.

Intercessions can be left online (using the link below) or in the church itself. You can also have names added to the prayer list by purchasing a digital candle. Finally, we invite those of you who listen to this service online to make an act of spiritual communion, the text of which you can access below along with shrine prayer and candle lighting requests.

My Jesus,

I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love you above all things,
and I desire to receive you into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive you sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace you as if you were already there and unite myself wholly to you.
Never permit me to be separated from you.
