Dear Friends in Christ,

Have you ever prayed to God and felt that your prayers have gone unanswered, evaporated like warm breath on a cold winter’s day?

Or have you felt astonishment at a prayer being answered and wondered if your mind is playing tricks on you?

In both cases, even more is going on than we realize. To be created in God’s image and likeness is to be created with an innate capacity for prayer.

Today we welcome a guest instructor, Ann Satterfield, who will lead us in an introductory class on Christian prayer entitled “A Spectrum of Prayer.”

Ms. Satterfield will help us explore what scripture, theology, church history, and experience says about prayer. Four types of prayer will be discussed.

As usual, we will meet on the fifth floor of the parish house. Coffee and tea will be provided.
