O God, who, by the preaching of thine apostle Paul, hast caused the light of the Gospel to shine throughout the world: Grant, we beseech thee, that we, having his wonderful conversion in remembrance, may show forth our thankfulness unto thee for the same by following the holy doctrine which he taught; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

The Octave of Prayer for Christian Unity

January 25 is the last day of the Octave of Prayer for Christian Unity, a period in which we pray ‚Äúthat we may all be one‚Äù with our brothers and sisters in Christ, and thereby overcome our many sad divisions and grievances. At Choral Evensong today, we welcome to our pulpit The Most Reverend John O’Hara, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of New York. This morning at the 11am Festal Eucharist our preacher was Fr Austin, theologian-in-residence at Saint Thomas Church, who has been a member of the Anglican-Roman Catholic Theological Consultation in the USA.
