Saint Bartholomew
Bartholomew is one of the twelve Apostles known to us only by his being listed among them in the Gospels according to Matthew, Mark, and Luke. His name means “Son of Tolmai,” and he is sometimes identified with Nathanael, the friend of Philip, the “Israelite without guile” in John’s Gospel, to whom Jesus promised the vision of angels ascending and descending on the Son of Man.
O Almighty and everlasting God, who didst give to thine apostle Bartholomew grace truly to believe and to preach thy Word: Grant, we beseech thee, unto thy Church to love what he believed and to preach what he taught; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

We are pleased to announce that Saint Thomas Church is now open to the public from 10:00am to 2:00pm, Mondays through Saturdays. This re-institution of public worship includes our regular service of Mass in the Lady Chapel, preceded by Shrine Prayers. This phase also includes a space provided for Private Prayer in the back of the Nave.
There are several changes to be expected when you enter the building. We have a number of new guidelines and procedures that we have instituted for the health and safety of all those who worship at Saint Thomas Church. An overhead map of the church, featuring a prescribed path of movement and available seating, is also included. We expect this guidance to change over time, so regular updates will be provided via email and the website.
