The Eighteenth Sunday After Pentecost
O God, who declarest thy almighty power chiefly in showing mercy and pity: Mercifully grant unto us such a measure of thy grace, that we, running to obtain thy promises, may be made partakers of thy heavenly treasure; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. (Proper 21)

Join us for a presentation by the youth of Saint Thomas who participated in this summer’s mission trip, a week of outreach in upstate New York at Christ the King Spiritual Life Center in the Diocese of Albany. In addition to spending time in study and recreation, the youth worked alongside the Sisters of St. Mary on their convent farm, helped build a goat and sheep barn, tended to the harvest, and assisted the sisters with the canning and pickling of vegetables. They also had opportunity to hear the sisters reflect on their vocation in a Benedictine community.
Joining them on this retreat was Ye Win, a Karen refugee from Burma who spoke to the youth about the harrowing persecution the Anglican Province of Myanmar suffers in that part of the world.
We hope you will join us to hear all about the experience from the youths themselves.
