This talk will offer short introduction to the life and thought of Simone Weil (1909-1943)”, and explore how some of her most famous writings, including The Need For Roots (1949) engage questions of Christian action and civil society.

The Adult Education program at Saint Thomas Church offers sound Christian teaching presented with intellectual vigor, teaching that is grounded in Holy Scripture, mediated by the catholic tradition that is the inheritance of Anglicanism and set forth in the Book of Common Prayer.
