The Second Sunday Of Advent
Merciful God, who sent thy messengers the prophets to preach repentance and prepare the way for our salvation: Give us grace to heed their warnings and forsake our sins, that we may greet with joy the coming of Jesus Christ our Redeemer; who liveth and reigneth with thee and the HolySpirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Dear Friends in Christ,
Today at 10:00am the Reverend Dr. Julie Faith Parker, our guest teacher, begins her three-session sequence entitled “Three Women and a Little Baby: Advent and Luke 1-2.” The first session is “Elizabeth and the Gift of Faith” and features “a brief overview of Luke’s Gospel and his special emphases, particularly regarding women. (Luke has far more female characters than any other Gospel. Why?) We will then delve into the character of Elizabeth. Who is she? How does her faith make a difference in the life of the infant Jesus? Come and learn of the surprising power of this older woman and her loving witness to her pregnant cousin, Mary.”
You are welcome to join us in person on the Fifth Floor of the Parish House or on Zoom. Please contact us for more information.
Grace and peace to you,
Fr. Matthew Moretz+
Vicar
