The Rev. Dr. Luigi Gioia

We think of advocacy especially as ‘speaking instead of’ or ‘speaking for’ others. From a Christian viewpoint ‘advocacy’ is much more akin to ‘comforting’ – a theme which is at the heart of prophetic literature in the Bible and one of the spiritual leitmotifs of the liturgical season of Advent which we will explore together.

The Rev. Dr. Luigi Gioia, Associate for Adult Education and Formation, lead this session. Contact Fr. Gioia for more information about Theology at Saint Thomas.

Christ the Teacher depicted in the ambulatory of Saint Thomas Church

The Adult Education program at Saint Thomas Church offers sound Christian teaching presented with intellectual vigor, teaching that is grounded in Holy Scripture, mediated by the catholic tradition that is the inheritance of Anglicanism and set forth in the Book of Common Prayer.
