O God, who by the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin prepared a worthy dwelling for your Son, grant, we pray, that, as you preserved her from every stain by virtue of the Death of your Son, which you foresaw, so, through her intercession, we, too, may be cleansed and admitted to your presence. Fr Austin leads this on-going study of the Book of Job. This class is repeated most Thursdays at 12:40pm.

The book of Job is not just one speech after another, without any progression of thought. A careful reading uncovers many riches. After chapter 25, the dialogue between Job and his friends has completely broken down. When we try to understand suffering, we reach a place where we just can’t reason any further. What then happens? Therein is the brilliance of this book. Newcomers are welcome to the class every week.
