Hailed as a “standout” (Chicago Tribune), baritone Benjamin Howard is a rising talent from Los Angeles, CA. The 2023-24 season included debuts with MasterVoices, performing Handel arias at NYU Skirball, as well as with Orchestra Miami, singing Mahler’s Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen (Songs of a Wayfarer). On the opera stage, he last appeared in Meyerbeer’s Le Prophète at Bard SummerScape 2024. Recent stage highlights include Publio in La Clemenza di Tito with Bronx Opera, Pish-Tush in The Mikado with Pacific Opera Project, and Rapunzel’s Prince in Into the Woods with Utah Festival Opera & Musical Theatre. As a concert soloist, Benjamin has performed the complete Songs of Travel by Vaughan Williams, the Fauré and Duruflé Requiems, and Rossini’s Stabat Mater, among others. He received his BM from Northwestern University and MM from the University of North Texas.
