The Every Member Canvass has grown significantly in the last ten years, both in the number of pledges and in total dollars, and the 2014 Every Member Canvass raised over $1.5 million from over 600 pledges. Yet even as we celebrate another record-breaking year, pledges and plate donations cover only 15% of the annual operating budget of the church and choir school.
In his second letter to the early Christian converts of Coritnth Saint Paul makes quite a bold statement, “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly,or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” Put simply, give freely from the heart. This year, we can rededicate ourselves to our parish mission to love and serve Jesus Christ.
