Our big event next week is the Fall Theology Lecture. Dr. Karina Martin Hogan of Fordham University has done a lot of research on “2 Esdras,” a book of the Apocrypha. “2 Esdras” itself is an apocalypse, as is Daniel (in the Old Testament) and Revelation (in the New).

Weekly classes on the 39 Articles of Religion and Herbert McCabe’s Faith Within Reason continue. Next week, The Fall Theology Lecture on 2 Esdras will be given by Professor Karina Hogan of Fordham University.

This week there will be a seminar discussion of Shakespeare’s Macbeth and the start of a new class on Faith Within Reason by Herbert McCabe. Later in the month, Professor Karina Hogan will give The Fall Theology Lecture.

This week will feature an introduction to the poetry of Christian Wiman. Later this month there will be a seminar discussion of Shakespeare’s Macbeth and the start of a new class on Heerbert McCabe’s book Faith Within Reason.

Theology at Saint Thomas ramps up as we approach Labor Day. Next month there will be a class of the poetry of Christian Wiman and The 2015 Fall Theology Lecture will be given on the Apocryphal book 2 Esdras.

The second of two panel discussions on Shakespearean tragedies takes place at 10am on Sunday, August 16. The class on the 39 articles of religion resumes on Sunday, August 23, the Fall Theology Lecture will take place in September.

Special panel discussions will be held on two different Shakespeare plays on consecutive Sundays: August 9 and August 16. The first will be on Othello and the second will be on Hamlet.
