The Second Sunday after Pentecost: Corpus Christi
This service proceeds like most other 11am Festal Eucharists at Saint Thomas, with the full Choir of Men and Boys, incense at the Offertory, and Holy Communion at both the High Altar and Chantry rails.
For more about the Feast of Corpus Christi, see the Rector’s Weekly Message here and John Scott’s Music Notes here.
Collect: God our Father, whose Son our Lord Jesus Christ in a wonderful Sacrament hath left unto us a memorial of his passion: Grant us so to venerate the sacred mysteries of his Body and Blood, that we may ever perceive within ourselves the fruit of his redemption; who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Lesson: Deuteronomy 8:2-3
Epistle: Revelation 19:1-2a,4-9
